The Scorpio Races

Stiefvater, Maggie

Notes
Summary: Every November, the Scorpio Races are run beneath the chalk cliffs of Skarrmouth. Thousands gather to watch the horses and the sea that washes the blood from the sand. The mounts are eich uisce: savage water horses. Nineteen-year-old returning champion Sean Kendrick competes against Puck Connolly, the first girl ever to ride in the annual Scorpio Races, both trying to keep hold of their dangerous horses long enough to make it to the finish line. To race them can be suicide but the danger is irresistible
